Paper Artisan

My interest in design began as a young girl of ten rearranging my room weekly. Now, with a family of young boys of my own and a Navy husband, I appreciate the desire to have a home that has well defined useful spaces in which every dollar spent is considered.

Formally trained at two separate design schools, I have spent most of my working years dressing traditional spaces, spanning from the Victorian era to the Arts and Crafts movement and onto mid century modern homes. Through this I have learned to blend the styles of today with the character of the past. With experience garnered from my time as a Paper Craft Artisan, I know that attention to the finer details all contribute to the coveted end result.

When planning a project, I believe in a no pressure approach while always keeping my clients’ vision in mind. As said by the great William Morris “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” Words I live by.

I am constantly expressing myself creatively, whether it be through knitting, sewing, or other crafts. The best part about starting a new project is taking ideas and making them your own. I love helping my clients incorporate ideas that they have seen into a kitchen design that is both beautiful and functional.

Through my background in Art History, I've gained experience in identifying different architectural styles, and Victoria is such an eclectic mix of the old and new architecture. I think it's important to integrate the style of your home while blending in elements of your personal taste into your space.

Accreditation: Bachelor of Arts (History), Diploma in Building Technology

My start in design came from my interest in Victoria’s heritage. Character homes influenced my pursuit of a degree in history and then also to further my education to understand the drafting, construction, and design.

I enjoy the challenge of interpreting people’s visions in their homes and endeavor to make the process of design as enjoyable for our clients as it is for me.
